I am many things, but mainly, in the context of this website, I am someone who has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. My diagnosis came in March of 2010, but my journey began decades before that. Without a diagnosis, I only knew to deal with the symptoms. This took me on an amazing journey of natural remedies. I changed my diet, studied herbs, & learned to meditate, among other things. The most telling statement of my search came during an appointment with my MD. After she delivered my diagnosis she attempted to comfort my by saying, "You should feel lucky. Most people that have what you have, by the time they get to us, they're in a wheelchair." I don't consider this luck. I consider this health. I had learned to first not exacerbate my symptoms &, second, to give my body everything it could possibly need to function optimally considering it was fighting a chronic infection. I have taken that approach into my healing of Lyme. What does my body most need in order to free itself of this infection? What does my body need to be it's most healthy & balanced? This is a continuing story, although there has been great improvement. I am also a person who likes to hide from the world behind a computer. I don't think that I am naturally a hermit, but my body is easily over-stimulated by the world. So, until that changes, you will most likely find me alone fixing & unfixing my website. This is also why you will find more gadgets & info than you will blog posts. I don't like to draw attention to myself. I would love to tell my story & share what I have learned, but that will have to wait until I am recovered. For now, I have the symptom of not being able to interact. Until then, please enjoy what you do find here. I hope it is helpful. You can find a little more of my story that I have ventured to write on my About Me page.
